Brittany T asked:
If you get professional backup of an XP computer, and they put it on a external hard drive, how do you access the different accounts or users on the computer and the files/program software in them? I would like to access a certain itunes account from a certain user.

Is online backup a good and safe way to store your files and operating system just in case of a hard drive crash? If so, any recommendations on a reliable site that does this? Thanks in advance.

If I have a virus on my computer and I successfully restore a backup will the virus be gone?
By bo
anon_guy_anon asked:
I was only able to restore the C drive, not the other drive where I had a partition for Ubuntu and another partition for games.

I’m sure the backup didn’t contain the virus. I restored as soon as the program that had the virus was launched.
I did not format the disk. I told the anti virus software to quarantine the virus but it kept coming back so I rebooted and restored from the linux rescue disk. I’m scanning for the virus now but it takes a long time.

How best to fully backup/mirror an entire computer including programs?
By bo
Soupy Boy asked:
I have already in place a backup drive to save essential data. But in case of theft, I would like to mirror my whole computer to a large external drive (500gb) so it would be easy to restore not just the data but also the OS, drivers and programs. I have a decent PC with Win XP. Thanks.
